Yesterday my Dad came into my office to ask if a fast would help him lose 30 lbs and how to do it. Since he just had surgery in August and he needs protein but we don't want him to eat, we adjusted his fast.
I agreed to do it with him for a full 30 days. Yikes, again? Yep, in support of my Dad I'm embarking on another Juice fast. I've been eating lately and feeling really low energy. I actually felt a lot more alive, healthy and vibrant when I was just juicing. So today marks Day 1. We took BMI, body measurements and weight this morning. I'm going to try to get some pictures of us both today as well. Since his goal is to get off his medications completely we are tracking this much more closely. I have added flax seeds and whey protein to his regimen to aid in digestive clean up as well as give his muscles the needed protein.
Breakfast today consisted of the following veggie juice:
Red Cabbage (red has more nutrients then green)
Wheatgrass juice powder (1/2 tsp)
Lunch Smoothie was Yummy! I've included * for my Dad's added ingredients (I just had the smoothie) I threw it all in the blender.
2 cups Papaya (peeled & seeded)
1 mango (peeled & seeded)
2 cups pineapple (peeled)
12 frozen strawberries
2 cups Cranberry Juice
1/3 cup raw flaxseeds
* 1 scoop Organic Whey Protein
This made enough for 2 large smoothies and 1 cup for Bela :)
I was getting hungry before I drank this, but now
