When I was 19 riding horses in California, there were so many teens and young kids who watched everything I did. From training to the fun I had with my horse. I wasn't conscious they were also watching my interactions with my friends. Even at that young age, a couple young teens began spending more and more time talking to me. Both had issues at home and needed someone to talk to, to listen.
Throughout the years many people have come to me for guidance. Although I would never have considered myself a leader, it evolved naturally and quite unconsciously. We have a choice to lead or follow. Since I don't tend to believe most of what I hear, read or even see I am not a great follower. I question everything ad nauseam. I have my own beliefs, respect other's beliefs and am open to new beliefs. I don't believe we should buy into someone else's opinions or truths because they may not apply to us.
Simply put, Spirit revealed how many things we do that others watch and take note of. Whether we realize it or not we are always leading. Leading a conversation, leading energies, leading kids or animals. Kids watch everything we do and by their observations decide to mirror our choices or rebel against them.
We are in a time where we need conscious leaders to step up and live out loud. We need more people to wake up and take charge of their own lives, minds and choices. It's obvious from the news that we haven't been honestly led by our own governments. There is a double standard that is anti-moralistic, anti-loving and anti-truth. It's time for us all to realize we can make a difference, by conscious action we change things. Remember the 100th monkey experiment started with just 1 monkey, eventually all the monkeys followed suit.
No matter how you view yourself, someone is watching and learning from your choices. You are a leader of your own life, your children's lives. In horse herds it's the herd mare or herd stallion. In school it's teachers. At home it's parents or partners. In life however, the best leader is the one who is the most consciously loving, kind, compassionate and honest.
I AM a conscious leader, who are you?
